Autobiography

My Profile Picture

Every great story begins with an unexpected moment, and my story started with a strong single mother who never gave up in life. Before I was born, my mother faced many struggles while raising me on her own. Despite the hardships and challenges, she continued working hard every day just to provide for me and give me a better future. Then, on August 27, 2006, in San Mariano, a baby boy was born into a simple family living in a quiet farming community. That baby boy was me, Syrus Ivan Julian.

I was born and raised in San Mariano, Isabela, where the main source of livelihood is farming. Most people in our community depend on planting crops just to survive. Growing up in this kind of environment taught me the true meaning of hard work and sacrifice.

As a child, I experienced both happiness and pain. My family was poor, and there were many times when we struggled financially. Despite our hardships, my mother always did her best to support me.

Since elementary school until junior high school, I experienced bullying. There were people who laughed at me, judged me, and made me feel less confident about myself. But instead of letting those painful experiences destroy me, I slowly learned how to use them as motivation.

When I entered junior high school, life became more challenging. At a young age, I started working while studying because I did not want to become an additional burden to my mother.

Aside from academics and work, sports became one of the biggest parts of my life. When I was in Grade 7, I started playing lawn tennis, and little did I know that the sport would completely change my life.

One of the best experiences that I will always remember was representing my school in different places because of the sport that I truly love.

However, one of the most painful and unforgettable experiences in my life happened when I made a terrible decision. There was a time when I became too drunk and still decided to drive a motorcycle. Because of that mistake, I almost lost my life. That experience taught me the importance of valuing life and making better decisions.

Now, I am in college, continuing my journey toward a brighter future. I am proud to say that I am both a working student and a student-athlete.

My life story is not just about struggles and sacrifices. It is also about hope, courage, perseverance, and learning from mistakes. No matter how difficult life becomes, I will continue moving forward with determination, faith, and hope in my heart.
